blechsonne is a selforganized festival for adventurous music, discourse and community. Embedded in the collaborative structure of the festival, in which various collectives create spaces, share ideas and take responsibility, we designed, planned and built the PLATEAU - a stage situated on a large meadow on the festival grounds where the audience could enjoy live acts.
The PLATEAU is made up of three structures, each of which is constructed from scaffolding: the stage, the FOH for sound and lighting and an extension to the existing bar shed.
The base frameworks were clad with reused fabrics and PVC panels to provide a more cozy atmosphere and enable playing with different levels of transparency. We did not buy any new materials for the construction. Backlighting of the PVC panels and led strips on the scaffolding poles created an exciting play of light at night, and orange straps in combination with the blue textile elements added contrasts to the design.
